More Kwei Family Photos - Part 1

Scott forwarded these Kwei family photos some time ago and I am just now getting around to posting them.  My apologies to Scott and to all those who were kind enough to make them available.

General Kwei was the Naval CNO (even though he was an Army General), then become the Chief of the General Staff in 1954.  He died shortly after taking the CGS post.

Scott doesn't  know who the Admiral was in these photos.  He thinks it may be VADM Struble when he was the 7th Fleet Commander.  These photos were taken when GEN Kwei was the Naval CNO, so the time frame was 1952-1954.

If you have any other information on the individuals who appear in these photos, please leave a comment or drop me an email.

Victor left this comment, which I somehow managed to delete. Here's the text:

General Kwei桂永清 was the Naval CNO Aug 1948-April 1952, the Chief Military Councilor of President April 1952-June 1954, and become the Chief of the General Staff in June 1954.

The Admiral with Kwei in the forth photo is Arthur Dewey Struble, the 7th Fleet Commander May 1950-March 1951.

The photos were probably taken during Struble's visit to Taiwan in Feb 1951.

Victor,

Thank you for the clarification. I was completely in the dark about who the US Admiral was and the timeframe when these photos were taken. GEN Kwei's niece is the one who provided all these photos.

After comparing the photos of this post with the photos in the news archives of the Central News Agency Taiwan, I found out the photos were indeed taken during Struble's visit to Taiwan in Feb 1951. For example, the following is the exactly the same photo as the sixth photo.
http://www.cnavista.com.tw/shop/Stores_app/Browse_Item_Details.asp?store_id=103&Shopper_Id=45627704445&page_id=23&Cat_id=&IndexNo=T03000000000&path1=&sno=T03000000000000900L%2EJPG&p=1

According to the website, the six people in the sixth photo are (from left) 馬紀壯Ma Ji-Chuang, 桂永清Kwei, Arthur D. Struble, Gannett(?), Grant(?), and 黎玉璽Li Yu-Hsi. I got their last names only for Gannett and Grant.

Struble paid two visits to Taiwan in July 1950 and in Feb 1951 respectively, so perhaps all these photos from Kwei's family are actually from Struble's two different trips?
