There's the President "Tung-Yi" Hotel first photo on the top left. It was just across the street from both East/West Compounds. It was the largest hotel in the vicinity of the Compounds. I remember many a night during Signal Compound watch looking up to see the large red neon sign atop that hotel.
The only large hotel that I remember in the vicinity of the compounds was the Roma Hotel, which was on the corner just south of the East Compound and directly across the street from the Linkou Club Annex. Does anyone know if this is the same building?
The President Hotel was just outside of the Signal Compound South Gate. Not the same gate On Chung Shan N. Rd. we all know by the Exchange and APO 96263 Post Office. Going outside the South Gate was the President Hotel...This was a huge hotel with a large neon sign on the roof. I believe the Roma was across the street from the Linkou Annex Club as you mentioned.

Wierd. The floor plan of that house is identical to the one we lived in that was on the road just behind the navy hospital in Tienmu
